On Thursday, we had the privilege of welcoming Catholic Schools Broken Bay Director of Schools, Mr Danny Casey, to St John Fisher. Mr Casey’s visit kicked off with a warm greeting by our wonderful Year 6 leaders, and a visit to our classrooms to see our students and their teachers in action.
Mr Casey shared some wise words of wisdom, encouraging our students to be their best selves, and to be guided by their teachers who will help them achieve great things. Year 6 shared their excitement about starting highschool soon, Year 5 shared their favourite subjects whilst chatting about the Library revamp, and little Maisie B put a smile on all our faces when she told Mr Casey how tall he was.
When Mr Casey asked our Kindergarten students what they’d like to do when they finish school, some of the very inspiring and entertaining responses included:
To graduate!! (great answer!) cupcake maker, doctor, vet, hairdresser, tow truck man, superhero, footy player, and a McDonald’s worker. Kindergarten were also very proud to chat about their Year 6 Buddy’s.
Thanks to some of our amazing parents, Mr Casey and our staff enjoyed a delicious morning tea before our Principal and staff leadership took Mr Casey for a tour of our beautiful grounds, where they shared ideas and visions for the exciting building upgrades that have begun!
Mr Casey acknowledged the efforts of our incredible staff and their hard work in preparing for the building works, and the planning and implementation of new curriculum programs.
This visit highlighted the positive progress of CSBB’s Towards 2025 strategy, with a refresh and renewal of facilities to meet the growth and needs of the Central Coast and wider Broken Bay community.
Thank you for visiting Mr Casey – we look forward to what the future brings for SJF!
